Forex
Forex is the largest financial market in the world. The word comes from "foreign exchange" — the market where currencies are traded, alongside metals, energy and indices. Besides its deep liquidity, it is a decentralised market, which means you can trade at any time and from anywhere using a computer or a mobile phone.
You trade a currency based on where you believe its value is heading. The big difference with forex is that you can trade rising and falling prices with the same ease: if you expect a currency to gain value you can buy it, and if you expect it to fall you can sell it.
- In this highly liquid market, finding a buyer when you sell and a seller when you buy is much easier than in other markets.
- Opportunities for investors to benefit from movements in currency values.
- Trading 24 hours a day, Monday to Friday (GMT).
- Low, variable spreads.
